3 months has passed since the start of the 1st school term and what i can say about the pre-u life?
it is way less restricting than my previous levels of education. imma break it down.last year, I with my classmates just waited for our teachers to come into class. this year it was entirely different. WE, all pre-u students, had to move from one class to another class and then to another class. to sum it up, this year, I walked ALOT more than last year. so much so that i think I'm loosing a bit weight. the walking, to me, is not really a bad point of pre-u life. heck, its pretty good, as in that it signifies that you have more freedom in your school life.
another great thing to mention is the fact that we have less subjects than last year...BUT unfortunately more information to understand. Pre-u physics is just downright confusing. it isnt straightforward as O'level physics, its hard. i mean, really hard to grasp. never miss a lesson or you'll be as a lost as an Englishmen in China. a way to describe Pre-u physics is that its like A. Maths in words. in WORD. frustrating as it seems, i shall try my best overcome physics. heh, to think that Malay was hard.
now, on to Pre-u maths which is split into 2, which is Pure and Stats. Pure being that its Maths at its 'purest' form of use where as Stats is more of counting calculations and loads of graphs.this years' maths, to me is easy to absorb... seeing as that most of the topics we studied THIS year was nearly identical to the topics we studied in Additional Maths last year. thank Allah, i did not drop out of A.Maths or i woulda been lost like the TV series Lost.
another thing that signifies how much more freedom in pre-u life is that Design And Technology this year is VERY free. we actually were given the choice of doing anything we want which is technically both good, as in free-freaking-dom of choice and bad as in what the hell are we supposed to do. again, lost as lost. i wasnt lost cause i had so many ideas in my head to bring into life but unfortunately am restricted to one type of design.
English this year is tough. i have to admit, being a guy that speaks english throughout his life, it is tough. not straight forward. not lazy. not easy. homeworks included writing a magazine article. and truck loads of reading and commenting. i actually failed the 1st English test this year... i have never failed and gained a low score of 7 out of 25. pre-u, freedom with a cost, innit?
finally the best and worst part of being a pre-u student.
the best part for me is the personal study time or 'PS' for short. not only does this time allow us students to study, finish off hw, meet with friends, chill but to me, it gives me enough time to sleep. sleeping, to people, would seem like a poor use of PS but it isnt. it actually helps get rid of the morning tired syndrome and prepare a fresh mind for a hard subject like physics.
now the worst of this year is the shocking stacking hws this year. i actually had gotten 7 or so hws from 3 individual subjects... with in a day! maybe im exaggerating but i seriously think i got 7 hws in ONE day. Pre-u life is literally forcing so much stuff into my brain.
these last coming 2(or less) years is gonna be a rough ride and a mountain to climb but hell, whats not worth true freedom without a few challenges to overcome! i say bring it on Pre-U.
actually the worst part this year is that i am forced to make a facebook account for my animation and comics club. but instead of writing true info, im gonna mess with facebook, HAHA! if you know me well, you'd know what fake name i use.
